Chocolate Lovers: Ghirardelli Square & See’s Candies

It’s getting colder and colder now here in NY. For some reason, this snuggle weather brings chocolate to mind. Been craving for days already so I decided it may be the best time to share the 2 chocolate places we visited in San Francisco!

Ghirardelli Square

900 North Point Street, West Plaza (Open Daily from 8:30am to 10:00pm)

This is a must visit when in SFO. Very near Pier 39, the Ghiradelli Square is really a nice place to chill as it has great stores novelty shops, a nice view of the water, even Fairmont Hotel inside. Best of all, it has the Ghirardelli Market Place. Chocolate Heaven. 🙂

It’s so funny because as I was writing this, I checked on the photos on my camera… and the photos on my phone… and the photos on Joan’s phone… and Kevin’s camera… and we all realized we don’t have ANY nice photo inside the Market Place! We were all crazy excited checking out all the racks, their Sundae Bar and Chocolate Café!

I don’t know what I was focusing on. This is such a bad picture, but I love the piles and piles of chocolates ON SALE.

Grab a milk chocolatey goodness before you go.

When shopping for pasalubongs (gifts from your trip), visit this place and have fun while doing so!

See’s Candies

201 El Camino Real, South San Francisco (Open Weekdays to Saturday from 10:00am-7:00pm, Sundays 10:00am to 6:00pm)

I remember each trip my mom and dad (and even our relatives) took to the west coast because each time they come home, we have boxes and boxes of See’s Candies. It’s a classic. I only got to visit one small shop in South San Francisco, but it felt like home. <3

This branch has free samples of almost everything and a make-your-own-box of mixed chocolates and candies!

Just a taste of a truffle milk chocolate brought me straight back to my childhood. 🙂 Can’t wait to go back.
